*Please be advised that a $30 non-refundable fee applies for tryouts (collected once cash or cheque at the time of training) that is not included in your registration fees. This covers the cost for all tryouts for your division per registrant; this means that the $30 payment is required for the first tryout session that you attend and waived for subsequent sessions. A member of Swift Current Minor Baseball will be on site to confirm payment has been received or to take payment.

Dear Parents/Guardians and players,
I am Wyatt Harkes and I am the head coach for the U13AAA Swift Current 57’s team for this upcoming season, and am so excited to get things going!
We will be holding tryouts for the team a bit earlier this year than past years, and hoping to have tryouts done by the beginning of April. We will be holding our evaluations indoors at the Stockade, as well as possibly getting a session at Prime Training Center to use the Hit Traxx for more accuracy and integrity during the tryout process!
This year we will be competing in the U13AAA Regina League with games starting in early May (weather depending). This league will allow us to have plenty of games, meaning almost every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) will be filled with baseball! On top of that, there may be a few weeknight games. We will be attending 2 out of town tournaments this year, as well as hosting a home tournament. Lastly, we will be attending provincials August 2-4, location tbd. Winning provincials will allow us to go to Westerns, which in part will extend our season. Otherwise the provincial weekend is the last of our season. Throughout the year we will be practicing on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, times to be set at a later date.

My name is James Jacobson, and I am the head coach for the U13AA Swift Current 57’s this upcoming season. I’m looking forward to getting back on the diamonds and play some ball.
The U13AA team will be playing in the Regina U13 AA league, with games starting in early May and running throughout the summer. Most games will be held on weekends, but there may be times when a weekday game will be necessary. I am planning to play in 3 tournaments this year, 2 out of town as well as our home tournament on June 14 - 16. We will also be attending provincials on the July 26 weekend, and this will be the last weekend of baseball for the season. Practices will be twice a week, days and times still yet to be determined.
The tryouts for the U13 AAA and AA teams are happening earlier this year, and we’re planning on having the team selections completed by the beginning of April. One important change to the selection process is that there will only be one set of tryouts this year; Wyatt, the other coaches, and I will work together during the tryout to ensure that every player is fairly assessed. If you are only interested in trying out for one team and not the other, please let us know when paying the tryout fee. This year the evaluations will be held exclusively indoors, with 2 sessions at the Stockade to evaluate fielding as well as a session at the Prime Training facility to use their Hit Traxx system. Using this technology will allow us to get a better evaluation of the player’s batting performance.
